Chad Marlatt has worked in various facets of the land use planning concentrated on a variety of real estate related development projects for over the past twelve years; having previous roles at both the federal and municipal government level and within the private sector. Chad’s land use planning experiences has enabled him with an unique ability to balance and manage the interests of various stakeholders including politicians, municipal staff, members of the public and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects. Chad holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Queens University.
James Shaw started out in real estate doing commercial brokerage in the United Kingdom; now with over ten years in the industry, he has worked with many major residential and Commercial developers on all aspects of the real estate transaction. Having developed strong market knowledge in the Lower Mainland development market and strong initiative, James works on behalf of both Sellers and Buyers, always ensuring clients receive first class service. James holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Urban Property Surveying Degree from the University of Northumbria.
Jim Law has worked in various facets of the real estate development industry for over ten years; having previous roles conducting development analysis, market analysis, as well as marketing and sales, Jim has a deep understanding of real estate allowing him to notice property nuances that could strongly impact a propertys' valuation. With impeccable integrity and assiduity, Jim helps Property Owners, Investors, and builders both identify and capture value. Jim holds a Diploma in Urban Land Economics, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
Andrew Orchard has worked in British Columbia’s real estate industry for over ten years, with experience in residential, recreational and commercial properties. Since joining the team at Urban 8, his focus has been identifying and evaluating potential land acquisitions as well as assembling properties for redevelopment. Working with Property Owners, Developers, and long-term investors, his success can be attributed to his exceptional work ethic, honest approach, and due diligence applied to his work. He attended the University of British Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Urban Geography and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics.
